We have been loving rich earthy fabric colours lately so this week on the blog we made up a pair of Megan Neilsen’s Flint Pants in a beautiful brick coloured cotton sateen. With super cute details and easy to follow instructions, the Flint Pants would be an easy addition to your new season wardrobe.
Pattern | The Flint Pants by Megan Nielsen were very thorough and the instructions were very easy to follow. We really loved how the pattern had tips after each step to help you get a tidier and more professional finish. The method for sewing the pocket was super cool and the tie detail adds a little something extra. They were extremely quick to sew and were finished in just one evening!
Fabric | We love how this slightly stiffer fabric gives the pants quite a dramatic look. Next time we would make these up in a linen or chambray for a more relaxed fit. For fuller thighed ladies we suggest omitting the tucks at the front and gathering the fabric instead so that it doesn’t cling.
How cool are the Flint Pants? We think they would be perfect with heeled sandals and a slinky top for a dressier evening look but they also look amazing paired up with a comfy tee.
